Boracay was closed completely for six months in 2018 for environmental rehabilitation and now operates under strict capacity regulation — a notable example of a destination that corrected its own overtourism problem. White Beach (split into Stations 1-3) remains the main draw, complemented by island-hopping day trips and a livelier after-dark scene than El Nido or Coron.
