About Canaima & Angel Falls
Canaima National Park is a vast reserve of table-top mountains (tepuis) and jungle in Venezuela's southeast, centered on Salto Ángel (Angel Falls), which drops 979m from the Auyán-tepui — the tallest uninterrupted waterfall on Earth. There is no road to the park: access is by small charter flight from Ciudad Bolívar or Puerto Ordaz into a small airstrip, followed by boat and on-foot travel within the reserve. Accommodation is limited to rustic eco-lodges inside the park itself — there is no nearby town to stay in instead.
