Denarau & Mamanuca Islands

Fiji

About Denarau & Mamanuca Islands

Denarau, just outside Nadi, is a concentrated cluster of resorts and the main entry point for most visitors — Nadi International Airport is close by, and Denarau itself is the gateway to the rest of Fiji's islands. The Mamanuca group just offshore is the most accessible island chain from Nadi, including Modriki Island, where Cast Away was filmed. Between the two: island-hopping boat trips, snorkeling and diving on the Mamanuca reefs, a floating ocean bar-and-pizza platform (Cloud 9), sand dunes and mud-pool hot springs on the mainland side, and evening kava ceremonies and lovo feasts.
