Not quite a full destination and not just a simple attraction — Huacachina is a tiny village and lagoon wrapped by huge sand dunes, functioning as a one-night mini-base built around a single experience: buggy rides and sandboarding at sunset. It's usually visited as a day trip or an overnight stop along the Lima-Paracas-Nazca-Arequipa overland route.
