Petra

Jordan

About Petra

A vast Nabataean city carved and built into sandstone cliffs, entered through a narrow natural canyon (the Siq) that opens onto the iconic Treasury facade (Al-Khazneh) — and the site extends for kilometers beyond it, including the Monastery, Royal Tombs, and a Roman-era theatre. A full day is the practical minimum; the site is too large and the walking too extensive to rush.
